The very young The Pier are KALLAX RECORDS’ new challenge. Gabriele Terlizzi, Davide Pasculli and Danilo De Candia started the project back in 2013, while in 2016 their first eponymous album is released, produced when members were still at high school. Their young age is possibly the main reason for The Pier's lack of reverence towards trends and rules. One can define them a math rock group, or post punk, indeed their attitude combines punk edgy angularity with an uncontainable playfulness. Listening to their second album “Dead Reckoning” – 10 tracks produced between Bari and Rome – echoes of Don Caballero, Foals, This Town Needs Guns, and Joy Division will resonate, but surely The Pier can push influences further into their own creativity's land, using electronics and rhythms patterns as a free jazz combo gone on acid, singing nursery rhymes.

“Dead Reckoning” was released on December 07th 2018 and it’s sailing far already. In summer 2017-2018 The Pier appeared in key festivals as Sziget, Waves Vienna and Reeperbahn, while 2019 started with a bang: in January the band took on board a second guitarist, Giovanni Lisena, and embarked on a little tour in Central Europe. Their first sets at prestigious Eurosonic Festival, The Great Escape and in Czech Republic tour were a blast of power and emotion, making both of them really astounding experiences for everyone involved. In October the band will play at MaMa Festival in France and will soon announce their second European Tour. The Pier are ready and fit to make Europe their stage and playground.
